Building on a steep, forested site with minimal disruption to mature oak trees, while ensuring views are maximized without sacrificing thermal efficiency.
Approach
Suspended the living wing on structural concrete piers. Utilized floor-to-ceiling glass walls oriented to capture the filtered woodland canopy light.
Outcome
A secluded hillside sanctuary that blends into the trees, providing panoramic views that change dynamically throughout the day.
